Come hear from zHome project founder and manager Brad Liljequist about the technical ins and outs and how this inspiring, market rate zero energy community came to be. Surviving the depths of the financial crash, zHome has emerged as a model for the future of production residential housing. Brad will go into depth both about putting together the deal, finding a Japanese multinational as a development partner, and how it is achieving zero net energy. zHome has been covered by the New York Times, NPR, and the Wall Street Journal, and received FSC’s 2011 North American Project of the Year and US DOE’s 2011 Builders’ Challenge awards. See z-home.org for more details.
The tour will begin at 10:30 am, Saturday at the zHome Stewardship Center.
